not okay

telling people to vote for the lesser of two evils 

is like telling a pregnant woman to marry 

the psychologically abusive alcoholic, 

because, "at least he doesn't hit you."

using guilt trips and threats to make them do it

is just more psychological abuse.

that is not how we heal.

heal yourself first,

don't do it for you, 

do it for the babies

do we want them growing up

thinking this is okay?

pain called
the angels
came and
addiction
to vision
ensued
then...

healing happened
anyway regardless
awareness that
the same abuse
drove them away
in the first place

break the chain

denial rules the world

new age brainwash
forgiveness and light
the torture never ends
good positive thinking
and blame the victim
you know, for good measure

question authority!

if you never question authority
how would you know if they're shooting you straight?

and if they were shooting you straight
why would they mind being questioned?

the sound of minds slamming shut (or, cognitive dissonance) revisited

law is a violent institution,
and we expect it to protect us from violence.
("war is peace")
how is that supposed to work?

maybe, if our society is so terribly violent (it is)
and if we want that to change (do we?),
we might need to address the issue in a different way.

why should that definition not also apply to institutions of societal control?

i don't believe in opting out. i believe the default answer should be no unless you specifically say yes.

it's about respecting boundaries...

the lack of such respect is why some people talk about society in terms of it being a culture of rape. but not the yes-people, they hate it when you do that, when you say no.

hand-me-down blues

government can't possibly solve the problems that it creates. you can't have a small ruling class without oppression. that is how it was designed. corruption is inherent to the system. the only thing different now than when plato laid it all out for us is that we no longer think of that oppression and corruption as something that is good for us, so now they deny the nature of the beast, try to hide it.

what's on your mind?

the game is rigged so everyone loses. same thing on a personal level as on the societal level. and the war god rewards those who are most destructive, because that is what war is all about and it doesn't matter which side you are on.  both sides are being played ...against each other.
