the problem remains that dominant society is still telling all the stories from only their own perspective which comes from a place of status and privilege. we desperately need to listen to other voices telling their own stories. we need to not let dominant society take over every aspect of what songs we hear and how they are sung.

Plato said that Socrates said:

To put it briefly, those in charge must cling to education and see that it isn't corrupted without their noticing it, guarding it against everything. Above all, they must guard as carefully as they can against any innovation in music and poetry or in physical training that is counter to the established order.

you can't teach kids about peace when the schools' solution to violence is to be the bigger bully. you can't teach kids about freedom by locking them up. you can't expect children who are never allowed to make any decisions to ever learn how to make the right ones. you can't hope for the future in a society that institutionalizes the young. treating children like inmates and criminals has only made things worse. more control will never solve the problems that are created by a profound lack of freedom.

blaming the victims

it is not okay
to wish sickness or death
upon anybody
period.

what you call Karma
God's Will
Divine Justice
Laws of Attraction
Everything Happens For a Reason™
blames the victims instead

nobody deserved any of this

"but since god is good
he can't be the cause
of the bad things that happen
so we have to come up with
something else to blame"
(or something to that effect)

she still talks to angels

i don't go seeking visions.  visions are scary.  but i was feeling very desperate and needed to know if i still could talk to the angels...

this following is also the vision i had yesterday, when i was in a panic and sought spiritual guidance. i saw the virus disappearing, the machine causing the sickness has been shut down. they won't believe it's related until they turn it back on ten years from now, and people start getting sick again.

...

In her 2008 book End of Days, Browne predicted that “In around 2020 a severe pneumonia-like illness will spread throughout the globe, attacking the lungs and the bronchial tubes and resisting all known treatments. Almost more baffling than the illness itself will be the fact that it will suddenly vanish as quickly as it arrived, attack again ten years later, and then disappear completely.”

And in 2004 book Prophecy: What the Future Holds for You:
“By 2020 we’ll see more people than ever wearing surgical masks and rubber gloves in public, inspired by an outbreak of a severe pneumonia-like illness that attacks both the lungs and the bronchial tubes and is ruthlessly resistant to treatment. This illness will be particularly baffling in that, after causing a winter of absolute panic, it will seem to vanish completely until ten years later, making both its source and its cure that much more mysterious.”

...

A Lebanese psychic who "forsaw" the current coronavirus pandemic during predictions for 2020 has returned to say when she anticipates its end.
When giving a psychic reading on New Year's Eve 2019, Layla Abdel Latif - who is of Lebanese and Egyptian origin - predicted there will an outbreak of a virus that will spark global panic.

Her intuitive reading resurfaced across Arab social media spheres after the pandemic was declared.

Speaking to Kuwait's Scoop TV, she predicted last week that the coronavirus pandemic will continue but will suddenly disappear.
...
Abdel Latif then went into a conspiracy that the disease was part of an experiment that lost control.

what if we look at the problem from a different angle and ask ourselves, "what kind of world allows the manufacture of weapons with the sole purpose of taking human life?" a world in which the government is the largest contractor of those companies who manufacture such weapons with the sole purpose of taking human life? so you're telling me this government is going to write some laws and put a stop to the small-scale killings that fill up our daily news, while the greater evil and the war that nobody talks about rages on? how does this make sense? how can anyone be so adamantly for anti-gun laws and not also be anti-war?

*whispers*
how can anyone be anti-war without also being anti- the government that wages that war to profit the companies that manufacture the weapons with the sole purpose of taking human life?

The Noble Lie, or: a bad guy to hate

groupthink doesn't work without the bad guys to hate on, that's how you group people up. the group is so much easier to control than individuals, and once you have them hating, they aren't doing a whole lot of thinking. the entire social structure is based on inequality and war, you can't have people doing their own thinking, getting along and working together if you want to rule the world. and like all abusive manipulations, the trauma has to keep escalating in order to maintain the same level of control. here's where we're at and why it's only getting worse.

some questions

how are you "fighting for freedom"
when you insist upon forking over
your power to make your own decisions?
if voting gave us a better government
why don't we have one yet?

fuck'em

plausible deniability is built
into any good system of control.
i don't like it. i think it's gone too far.
we already know how easily facebook
manipulates public opinion, and far more effectively
than the newspapers or television ever did.
and now there's another election year coming up,
and we already know i'm not buying any of it,
i disagree with both sides,
and that is what every oppressor wants to avoid,
deviation from the script is never to be allowed.
you have your roles to play,
obedient slaves,

i might have to go play outdoors instead.

what are you so afraid of?

afraid that there isn't really some Absolute Truth/Authority to tell you what to do, that there's nobody else to blame, and it really was up to you all along?

the greater good is like the lesser evil, it doesn't really exist

the words "common good" (greater good) were co-opted by the republic from the very start. it means that which is good for the state, assuming the state is good for the people, which it is not and never was, except for the few who stand to profit from the making of laws. even plato decided it wasn't really a good idea, after the republic was written, and after they killed his teacher.

denial is a horrible thing, shame is a terrible burden to bear

saying that the term "redskins" isn't offensive
is like saying being hit by a truck shouldn't hurt
if the driver wasn't intentionally trying to run you over.

besides, you already know what people think about that
and you choose not to listen,
which would be the definition of the word hater.

to invalidate anyone's feelings is dehumanizing,
not just to the victims of such abuse, but to everyone.

standard response, "we don't care!"
and that right there is the problem nobody is talking about.

you can't fight colonization with a colonized mind

war is good for business.
and money runs the show.
and that's all it is, a show.
the dialectic, us versus them,
is all part of the same war.
it was designed to never end,
doesn't matter which side you pick,
or which side wins,
so long as there's a fight.
